Gene-stealer ant

Little is known about Formica ereptor. Its unique parasitic life cycle depends on particular neighbouring ant species for its survival and so there are few habitats where it thrives. Gene Stealers are nomadic; new queens fly great distances from their birth colony, then spend the first year of their lives travelling back home across the land.
